Rosalind Oti, PhD is a licensed clinical psychologist who specializes in working with tweens, teens, and young adults (and their parents) who are seeking support related to:
Autism, ADHD, and other forms of neurodiversity
Anxiety, including OCD, specific phobias, and generalized anxiety
Executive functioning challenges
General school and life stressors
Gender identity development (transgender, non-binary, and gender questioning)
Transition to adulthood, including transition to college & launching to independence
Dr. Oti individualizes her approach to therapy for each client, but draws from a range of evidence-based interventions, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindful-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), and Exposure and Response Prevention (E/RP).
She works closely with her clients and their families to help them explore and achieve individual goals, develop effective coping skills, build on strengths, identify additional supports and resources, advocate for appropriate educational services/accommodations, and improve quality of life. In addition to therapy, Dr. Oti provides:
Comprehensive diagnostic evaluations for autism spectrum disorder and attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder for teens and adults
Assessment and consultation to support transition to adulthood for autistic teens and young adults
IQ testing for private school admissions
Consultation to other professionals
Dr. Oti earned her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the University of Michigan where she was mentored by Dr. Catherine Lord, a prominent psychologist and researcher in the field of autism spectrum disorders (ASD) and developer of two gold-standard instruments used in the diagnosis of ASD (the ADOS and the ADI-R). As part of her graduate training, Dr. Oti moved to Seattle to complete an APA-accredited pre-doctoral clinical internship in Clinical Child Psychology at the University of Washington. She then completed a post-doctoral fellowship at Seattle Children’s Hospital - Autism Center. After becoming a licensed psychologist, Dr. Oti remained on the medical staff at Seattle Children’s Hospital and continued to work with individuals with ASD, their siblings, and their parents/care providers at the Autism Center for eight years. Dr. Oti has been in private practice since 2012.
Dr. Oti is not contracted with any insurance companies but can provide you with an itemized invoice for third-party reimbursement. Please check with your insurance provider for details about out-of-network benefits. Dr. Oti is contracted with the Division of Vocational Rehabilitation (DVR) to provide evaluations for autistic adults to inform educational and vocational goals.
