Therapy for Children, Teens, & Young Adults with OCD
We provide evidence-based individual therapy for children, teens, and young adults with Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), including for the following types of OCD presentations:
Contamination
Fear of Harm
Compulsive Checking
Mental Compulsions
Rumination
Intrusive Thoughts
Perfectionism
“Just right” OCD
Relationship OCD
Religious/ moral OCD
In treating OCD, our providers utilize Exposure and Response Prevention (E/RP), which is the most widely used evidence-based treatment for OCD. Additionally, we draw on other techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) as appropriate to each case, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions (SPACE).
Additionally, Dr. Amy Bohlander and Dr. Cesalie Stepney offer a 6-session small-group workshop titled Parenting Anxious Kids, which is appropriate for parents of children with anxiety and/or OCD. More information can be found here. Please complete our New Client Inquiry Form if you would like to participate.
