Dr. Amy Bohlander offers a 6-session (1-hour each session) small-group workshop geared towards parents of elementary-aged kids (approx. ages 5-11) who experience anxiety.

To REGISTER:
Go to Dr. Bohlander’s client portal and complete the following steps:
1. Request an appointment on 2/24.
2. Choose any open appointment time (this is only a placeholder appointment time to get you into the scheduling system).
3. When you request your appointment, the portal will ask, "Who is this appointment for?" Choose "someone else", then enter YOUR information.
4. Choose "Yes" for "Is the client a minor?", and then enter your child's name and date of birth in the "client" section.
Once you request an appointment, Dr. Bohlander will send you some questionnaires to ensure the group is the right fit for your family. Registration is only complete once Dr. Bohlander has received all of your paperwork and confirmed your enrollment.
IS MY FAMILY A GOOD FIT?
If your child worries a lot, is overly fearful, avoids things that they want or need to do because of worry, or asks you for frequent reassurance or to help them feel better when they are worried, then this class is for you.
This class is appropriate for parents of children with an anxiety or OCD diagnosis, and also for those who do not have a formal diagnosis of anxiety or OCD but demonstrate anxious, fearful, or avoidant behaviors.
Many of the children whose parents participate in this group also are neurodivergent (e.g., autism, ADHD, etc).
Parenting Anxious Kids is open to families residing in Washington State and any of the 40+ other states that are members of PSYPACT. Click here to see the current list of states.
